As COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to impact the global community, we would like to extend our thoughts and support to those affected by the virus, and to share our gratitude to the first responders, healthcare professionals and other key workers who are working tirelessly to help our communities get through this difficult time.

As the situation continues to develop, the team at Cobalt Systems has a critical role to play, with many of our customers and partners being key businesses serving crucial industries including pharmaceuticals and food.

We are continuing to work hard to meet the demand now placed on those customers involved in the fight against COVID-19 and we will continue to support the essential manufacturing work being done to help the country through these unprecedented times.

For over 20 years, Cobalt Systems has been putting its customers and its team members above all else and this continues to be the case. We have the ability to work remotely due to our systems being mainly cloud-based and so we have taken the necessary steps to remove all non-critical services within our business away from our manufacturing facility. All means of contact remain the same and continuity of service for those customers still operational are our priority.

We continue to manufacture as usual and are in regular contact with our supply chain to mitigate any potential delays. Additional hygiene practices are in place as per guidance from the World Health Organization and UK Government and we are monitoring the situation closely.

All non-essential site visits across all functions have been postponed until further notice. Our engineers remain available to your technical team, offering remote support to keep your lines running. Any urgent, onsite requirement will be discussed with you before scheduling.

Due to an increased demand in supplies (labels, ribbon and printheads), lead time has increased slightly, however the supply chain is reassuring with raw materials moving with little or no delay. We suggest checking stock levels and factoring in a sensible buffer stock to ensure continuity.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your individual requirements during this time.

Take care and stay safe.
